Member Portal

The member portal allows congregation members to access their personal information, view invoices, manage their family, and interact with the synagogue online.

For Members: This guide helps you use your member portal account. Contact your synagogue office if you need login credentials.

Accessing the Portal

Getting Your Account

To get member portal access:

  1. Contact your synagogue office
  2. They will create a user account for you
  3. You'll receive an email with:
    • Your username (usually your email address)
    • A temporary password
    • Login link

First Time Login

  1. Visit the Login Page

    Go to your synagogue's ShulNET website and click "Login".

  2. Enter Credentials

    Use the email and temporary password from your welcome email.

  3. Change Password

    You'll be prompted to create a new, secure password.

  4. Access Portal

    You'll be taken to your member dashboard.

Navigate to "My Information" to see:

Updating Your Profile

  1. Click "My Information"
  2. Click "Edit Profile"
  3. Update any fields that have changed
  4. Click "Save Changes"
Keep it Current: Please update your information whenever you move, change phone numbers, or get a new email address!

Viewing Invoices

Invoice List

Navigate to "My Invoices" to see:

Click on any invoice to view:

Paying Online

If online payments are enabled:

  1. Open Invoice

    Navigate to "My Invoices" and click the invoice you want to pay.

  2. Click "Pay Now"

    The payment button appears for open invoices.

  3. Enter Payment Details

    Securely enter your credit card or bank account information.

  4. Confirm Payment

    Review the amount and submit payment.

  5. Receive Confirmation

    You'll get an email receipt and see updated balance immediately.

Security: All payment information is encrypted and processed securely. Your payment details are never stored in ShulNET.

Managing Your Students

Viewing Student Information

Navigate to "My Students" to see:

Updating Student Info

You can update certain student information:

  1. Click on a student's name
  2. Click "Edit Information"
  3. Update allowed fields (emergency contacts, medical info, etc.)
  4. Save changes
Note: Some fields like class assignments can only be changed by school administrators.

Yahrzeit Records

Viewing Yahrzeits

Navigate to "My Yahrzeits" to see memorial observances for:

Requesting Changes

If you need to add or correct a yahrzeit:

  1. Click "Request Change"
  2. Fill out the form with yahrzeit details
  3. Submit request
  4. Office will review and update records

Event Registration

Viewing Events

Navigate to "My Events" to see:

RSVPing to Events

  1. Browse Events

    View the list of upcoming events.

  2. Click "RSVP"

    Select an event you want to attend.

  3. Choose Options

    • Number of attendees
    • Guest names (if bringing guests)
    • Ticket type (if applicable)
  4. Pay for Tickets

    If it's a paid event, complete payment.

  5. Confirmation

    Receive confirmation email with event details.

Manage which emails you receive:

Unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe from specific email types while remaining a member. Click "unsubscribe" links in emails or manage preferences in your profile.

Password Management

Change your password regularly:

  1. Click your name in the top right
  2. Select "Change Password"
  3. Enter current password
  4. Enter and confirm new password
  5. Save changes

Common Questions

I forgot my password. What do I do?

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. Enter your email and you'll receive a password reset link.

Can I change my email address?

Yes, update it in "My Information". Note that your login username will change to the new email.

Why can't I see certain events?

Some events are members-only. If you're logged in and still can't see an event, it may be restricted to specific groups or have closed registration.

How do I print an invoice?

Open the invoice and click "Download PDF". You can then print the PDF from your computer.

Can other family members have their own login?

Yes! Contact the office to create accounts for your spouse or adult children. Each person should have their own unique email address.

Who can see my information?

Only synagogue administrators can see your full profile. Other members cannot access your invoices, students, or private details.
